About Sarah
As a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, I aim to help you get to the root cause of your conditions and empower you to take responsibility for your health.
I will listen to you and offer you the space to share what has been happening on both an emotional and physical level.
My approach
My approach is individualised and thoroughly tailored to you and your needs. I draw on teachings from Functional Medicine: an approach which GPs are beginning to recognise, and which has a vast body of research to support its effectiveness.
An initial consultation lasts for 75 minutes. In this session, we will explore your background, including your diet, sleep patterns, traumas, family history, genetics and current lifestyle. We will explore your mother’s health during pregnancy and the circumstances of your birth, as all of this has a bearing on your health in the present day.

Walking the talk…
In terms of my own journey, I have first-hand experience of the transformative effects of nutrition.
Functional Medicine:
Functional Medicine is a unique, personalised model that focuses on identifying and address the underlying root causes of health conditions. This, in turn, enables the promotion of optimum health and wellbeing by correcting underlying imbalances.
Functional Medicine involves a comprehensive examination of each client’s genetic make-up, in addition to lifestyle and environmental factors that include diet, sleep, exercise and stress. This complex web of interactions that consists of both internal and external factors can lead to imbalances, deficiencies and disease.
The Functional Medicine approach focuses on the whole person and encompasses the combination of science and research/evidence with clinical understandings that results in a bespoke approach to health and wellness. This ultimately culminates in unique, personalised programmes.
Functional Testing also provides the latest laboratory testing to complement the upstream investigations of root cause focused healthcare.

Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy
Naturopathic Nutrition focuses on the use of foods and nutrients as medicine by applying nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care.
The influence of nutrients and foods can protect against disease, restore health and determine one’s response to environmental changes. The function of the body can be influenced by foods either directly or indirectly by altering gene expression or structure.
Specific diet-related genes may contribute to the onset, incidence, progression and/or severity of chronic diseases, with dietary interventions being used to prevent, mitigate or cure chronic disease.
