Nutritional Therapy practice in Cheshire
My name is Sarah Mallinson & I run the Pine Health and Nutritional Therapy practice in Wilmslow and Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Nutritional therapy and the functional medicine approach looks at each individual as unique and focuses on the person as a whole, not just a collection of symptoms.
By spending time listening and understanding you and looking at the impact of your diet, lifestyle, the environment and genetic predispositions on your specific situation, my aim is to identify the root cause of symptoms and to formulate a tailored, evidence based program that prioritises and supports your health and wellbeing.
All the systems in your body are connected – just think about how stress can alter your digestive function, sleep and mood for example. By looking at the impact on different biological systems nutritional therapy can identify and address potential nutritional imbalances that can result in health issues.
Our time together will cover numerous areas to enable me to better understand your background, medical symptoms, current medications and/or supplements, lifestyle, eating habits, sleep, emotional and psychological pressures and stress response enabling me to investigate the root cause of your concerns and determine potential triggers.
My own ill health initiated my journey to becoming a nutritional therapist. As a child I suffered constant infections, received numerous antibiotics and this began a cycle of poor health and chronic conditions, ultimately resulting with a diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome.
